Dr. Spatz grew up in Indiana and completed her undergraduate degree in Biology at Indiana University. While in Bloomington, IN, she worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant in various nursing homes. She then continued on to complete her Doctorate in Pharmacy at Purdue University.
After applying her pharmacy knowledge in varying capacities for the Walgreens, Eli Lilly, and NPS Pharmaceuticals, she decided to pursue her dental education at University of Illinois at Chicago. While at UIC-College of Dentistry, she was recognized as having completed Honors in Pediatric Dentistry and earned a distinction for Excellence in the Field of Dentistry. Following graduation from dental school, she continued her training at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center where she focused on special patient care dentistry, hospital based dental care focusing on operating room dentistry and dental treatment of medically compromised patients, implant placements and restorations, and in-office sedation dentistry where she obtained her license in conscious sedation.
Dr. Spatz has staff privileges at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center where she treats patients who require extensive dental work, which is better performed under general anesthesia. She also spends time treating patients on the Ronald McDonald Caremobile reaching out to rural areas in Northwest Illinois as well as other outreach areas in Illinois. Dr. Spatz provides dental care more routinely at Stephenson County Health Department and Uplift Community High School in Cook County.
